Good to know
Is the number mine to keep? No. A standard number receives texts for one order, for up to 20 minutes, and may be given to someone else afterwards. Longer rentals for the UK, USA and Canada are opening soon.
What shouldn't I use it for? Anything you'll need to get back into later, such as two-step login or account recovery. Use your own phone for those.
What isn't allowed? Banks, payment apps and government services are blocked. Use numbers only for accounts you own, and follow each website's own rules. Read the acceptable use policy.
Will every website accept it? Each website decides for itself whether to accept a number, so a text isn't guaranteed. That's why you only pay when one arrives.
