How to receive SMS online with a virtual number
A virtual number lets you receive an SMS verification code through your browser. On SimBazaar, you choose the service and country, pay from a naira wallet, and read the code in your account.
Choose a number for the service you need
Check the live price list for available services, countries and stock. Availability changes, and a number offered for one platform is not a promise that it will work with every platform. Choose the correct service before placing an order.
Receive your verification code
- Create your account and verify your email address.
- Fund your wallet, then select the service and country you want.
- Review the price and place your order. Copy the assigned number into the service you are using.
- Keep your SimBazaar order open. The incoming code appears there when the supplier receives it.
Only use numbers for accounts you are authorized to manage and in line with the platform's rules. Never share passwords or verification codes with other people.
Understand the timer and refunds
An SMS verification number is temporary. Your order shows its expiry time; it is not a permanent phone line. Do not rely on an expired number for future account recovery. Set up another recovery method with the service where possible.
For a standard SMS order, funds are held while you wait and charged when a code arrives. If the order expires without a code, the held amount returns to your wallet. Cancellation conditions and digital-product refunds are explained in the refund policy.
Prices and payment in naira
Prices vary by country, service and supplier availability. Check the current price before buying rather than relying on an older quote. The amount displayed at checkout is the amount for that order.
Building an application?
The SimBazaar API documentation explains how developers can order numbers and retrieve messages from their own software. Keep API keys on your server and never include them in public browser code.
